Ushuaia
torres del paine : survived... what can i say... the expectation level was high.. and im still happy.. but it was a tough experience... 5 days in the park. we started in puerto natales.. and it was snowing!! happy camping i say... minus 2 degree and five days to go.. me only in shorts and no real rainwear.. juchu
but we were lucky.. we walked an average of 8 to 9 hours a day and we had only 2 hours of real rain and that on day four on the way back.. it was hard but could have been a lot worse.. still ca 120km walking in 5 days without acl, in the cold patagonian wind, backpack on ur back.. waking up in snow.. its actually impressive how many people not only take that pain but also pay heaps of money... to see some rocks and a glacier :)
well it is beautiful.. and as i said im happy.. it wasn t the best trip of my tour.. considering el chalten is beautiful, too and all for free!! but we had a lot of fun...
after one night of rest back in natales.. hitch hiking to punta arenas... means 4h in wind and cold to save in the end 3 dollars... ): well, hitch hiking disappointment covered by not staying in a hostal but rather going out all night and catch the early bus to ushuaia (40$ 10h !!!!) prices here are ridiculous.. time to get out of patagonia.. so my punta arenas experience can be reduced to a couple of night clubs.. which we at least entered all for free, saving almost 20$us!! ;:)
happy again, we arrived in ushuaia the end of the world just to realize that nothing changed.. back to argentina but still expensive... and booked out.. this place is incredibly full?!
well in a couple of hours we ll take of with another rental car.. to discouver la tierra del fuego.. (fireland)
tuesday over buenos aires to iguazu, brazil :) and then for the weekend back to BA... thats the plan.. so far :) lets see
