Adventure Machu Picchu

as i said there are easy ways to do machu picchu... and the easier the more expensive... we choosed hard and for free...didn t get it perfectly but we saved a lot...
instead of taking the train for 90$ return we took public transport for 6-8$ return. the problem is that there is no street from cusco through to aguas calintes... the village next to mp... so we had to walk the last 30km along the rails :)
so cusco, urubamba, ollataytambo, km 82, and then walking till km 111 = aguas calientes...walking takes about 8h plus some more to get around control in km 82!!
and we did it in one day!! got up at 5.00h in the morning and arrived in aguas calientes at about 15h.. cause we got some help...
another way is to drive to quillabamba, santa theresa, hydro, aguas calientes (about 8$ one way)... this way u can make it without walking or max 2h from hydro to aguas c. but u have to be careful with times and i takes at least 2 days....
so much for getting there.. entering machu picchu cost 10$ for students with and only with ISIC card... 20$ else... but when u walk up the footpath, about three to five minutes before arriving at the top, watch out for a little path going to ur right, that leads to from there visible inca terrasses! take that way (ca 200m) and climb up the terrasses (ca 250m).. that should lead into mp for free! its worth a try... unfortunately we missed that path.. because it was dark, when we climbed up.. but from above it looks good, 95%!!!
so much for the second most expensive place in sa after galapagos islands... there are ways :) but i have to admit, even though we are proud on the way we did it.. my body hurts... three days getting up at 5.00, 3.30, 5.00, about 70km of walking... say it is an experience.. on of the things we do cause we are young...
no we chill out in cusco... and get ready to leave soon to bolivia and the worlds highest navigable lake: lake titicaca and the worlds highest capitel: la paz...
